Biography

Barbie Gregory serves as the Southwest Tech Prep Coordinator at Miami University Regionals. In this role, she leads the design and alignment of career and technical pathways across Ohio’s in-demand industries, helping students access early college credit and pursue seamless transitions into high-quality postsecondary programs. She manages the review of CTE-26 applications, supports CTAG and articulation efforts, and collaborates with both K–12 and postsecondary faculty to expand and enhance regional credit opportunities.

Barbie is the lead organizer for several signature initiatives at Miami Regionals, including “Pathways to Careers” events, Scrubs Camp, and the DEW Engineering Teacher Workshop. She developed and launched a Student Ambassador Program that supports outreach visits, STEAM events, and college tours. She is also deeply involved in the Transfer Collaborative, pathway MOUs, scholarship initiatives, and alumni engagement efforts that connect career technical students to Miami Regionals.  She also provides communications and website support, maintains curriculum resources, and supports the Southwest team in cross-regional initiatives and events, as well as serving as a marketing liaison at Miami on behalf of the Department of Engineering Technology.

Barbie brings nearly 30 years of experience in education to her role. She spent 18 years at Butler Tech as a College Credit Plus instructor for Sinclair and Cincinnati State, a Building Coordinator, and a member of the district leadership team. She has taught part-time at Miami University since 2000 in the Psychology and Educational Psychology departments and previously worked as an innovative teaching and learning coach and virtual instructor in both K–12 and postsecondary spaces.

Barbie is known for her collaborative leadership, her commitment to student-centered innovation, and her efforts to strengthen the connections between education and workforce development across the Southwest Region.
