What happens on an Urban Plunge?

Every Urban Plugne is unique but each one contains some core components - a service experience, a community journey, engaging with community members and leaders, and meals together as a group.

How much does it cost to go on an Urban Plunge?

Urban Plunges are FREE for all Miami students, faculty and staff - transportation, lodging and meals are provided by the Office of Community Engagement & Service. Some participants do choose to bring small amounts of additional money to purchases snacks. However, this is entirely optional.

Can I drive my own car to the Urban Plunge instead of provided transportation?

Yes, when you sign up, indicate that you will be using your own transporation. However, you will ne reimbursed for gas or mileage should you choose to drive independently. Furthermore, Miami University is not responsible for any loss or damage incurred.
