The first College of Creative Arts International Fashion Design workshop was held in the Czech Republic, July 7-25, at the University of West Bohemia's Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art. The workshop is a 6 credit hour elective option within the CCA's newly launched Fashion Design Minor.

There were 7 Miami University students representing the College of Creative Arts, College of Arts and Science, and the Farmer School of Business, along with 4 Czech students, who worked intensively in the fashion studio headed by Czech professor Helena Krbcová, designing on the theme of black and white.

The Miami students and their majors include: Emily Baker, Individualized Studies; Rachel Hucek, Interior Design; Lucy Hurley, Interior Design; Dianna Ng, Architecture; Elizabeth Penman, Individualized Studies; Amanda Smith, Marketing; and Jingwen Xie, Marketing.
