In order to help young artists thrive, the College of Creative Arts Advisory Board has embarked on a significant project to be launched in New York City this September. The vision for what will be called the #thrivingartist network involves establishing an engaged group of arts alumni in major cities in the U.S.

In joining a particular network, an alumni will agree to help a recently matriculated student who is moving to that city in a variety of possible ways: review a resume, allow for a job shadow, do an informational interview, buy the student a meal, etc... Creating this network will allow for both mentorship for students (as they begin their life after college) and for more active dialogue and collaboration between arts alumni in key metropolitan areas.
