Mechanical engineering graduate student wins oral presentation award at the Graduate Research Forum
Md Rashef received this award based on the judges’ evaluation of his poster, presentation, and the quality of his abstract. For this award was granted $300 for his future professional expenses.

Last month a ECE student was awarded two scholarships for his accomplishments as a member of IEEE HKN, the electrical engineering honor society here at Miami.

LSAMP is awarded with a portion of a $4.5 million grant for their push for diversity in STEM fields
The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) at Miami was honored recently and was awarded a portion of $4.5 million dollar grant to aid in their goal to help prepare minority students in STEM fields to have a successful future.
