kelly-mcvayKelly McVay (2013) recently finished her rotation as an application engineer for Swagelok. During her time at Miami, Kelly majored in engineering management with an environmental focus and minored in chemical engineering.
Engineering and Medicine
sarah-gartnerSarah Gartner (2015) has a passion for helping others that translates well to her bioengineering major with a premedical concentration, and she will soon go on to The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine following graduation from the College of Engineering and Computing.
Swagelok Series: Claire Dobbertin
claire-dobbertinClaire Dobbertin (2013) was the president of Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor Society, and also the Society of Women Engineers during her time at Miami. She is just as active and involved after graduation, having been hired into the Leadership Development Program at Swagelok. The program consists of four, six-month rotations with varying types of work and projects.
Swagelok Series: Jordon Welle
jordon-welleJordon Welle, a 2012 graduate, double majored in mechanical and manufacturing engineering during his time at Miami. He started on the shop floor with the operators, and currently works in technical services with Swagelok’s distributors.
Senior Design Project: PAVER
paverA new application, the Policy And Validation Effectiveness Report (PAVER), was just developed and launched by CEC Capstone students, University Registrar, and IT Services. PAVER is for use by administrators across various departments at Miami to validate that their course schedules meet the guidelines set up by the University.
