P&G VP of Global Business Services to Share Insights

On September 25, the Department of Information Systems & Analytics (ISA) will welcome key speaker Andy Walter, Vice President of Global Business Services for Procter & Gamble, to discuss "P&G's Analytic Journey & Strategic Partnership." The talk will focus on how P&G uses data systems to strengthen key initiatives within the company.

Walter has responsibility for developing cutting-edge business intelligence, analytics, and consumer capabilities for P&G. He and his global team are empowering executives across the Company to drive faster, better decisions and 'lead at the speed of change.'

With 23 years of experience at P&G across the U.S. and Europe, his career has spanned a variety of assignments, including Global R&D, Product Supply & Manufacturing, Marketing, and International Sales & Operations. Prior to his current role, he ran the Global Business Services and IT organization for P&G's Western European business.

He designed and led the transformation of Consumer Digital Services, and, more recently, the industry-leading Business Intelligence /Analytics journey across P&G. Under his leadership, P&G received the first-ever Excellence in Analytics Award by The International Institute of Analytics. His teams have also been recognized with CIO 100 Awards in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

The event will take place in Farmer School's small auditorium (FSB 0025) from 4:15 to 5:15 pm. Students are encouraged to attend.
