2018 Convocation and Summer Reading Program – Earlier this week, the University announced that award-winning author Wil Haygood '76 will be the August 24th Convocation speaker. All first year, full-time students, on all campuses, will be the first in the world to receive copies of his highly anticipated new book TIGERLAND: The Miracle on East Broad Street, about race, politics, and high school sports the tumultuous year of 1968-1969.
The success of the Summer Reading Program depends on the participation of faculty and staff to serve as facilitators. You can find more information about participating in this year’s program as a facilitator here.
Annual University Awards Ceremony & Reception will be held on Wednesday, April, 18 (5-6:30 pm) 180-186 Marcum
Reminders:
- The Advancement of Research and Scholarship (OARS) is sponsoring a panel discussion, “The New Era of University Innovation and Commercialization: The Future of University and Business Collaboration with a Focus on Inclusive Innovation” and will include welcome remarks by Pres. Crawford. The event will be heldon Thursday, April 19 (3:30-4:35 pm) in 303 King Library.
- The nextInclusion Seriesevent will be held on Thursday, April 19 (5:00 - 6:30 pm) in 320 King Library. he presentation, "Why Can't I Just Chill? Strategies for Healing from Racial Battle Fatigue,” will be led by Stephen Quaye, Associate Professor in Educational Leadership and Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Education, Health and Society.
