Dr. Lena Lee (EDT) Awarded by Ohio Children's Foundation for New Study
Dr. Lee's study, "Reggio Emilia Project-Based Learning in Low-Income Preschools," will focus on enhancing brain development, language development, and social skills for low-income young children in preschool classrooms.

Congratulations to a New Class of Faculty Writing Fellows
This Fall, our Faculty Writing Fellows program hosted faculty teams from the Havighurst Center for Russian & Post-Soviet Studies and from Justice and Community Studies. Over the course of the semester, the teams considered threshold concepts in their disciplines and prepared projects aimed at using writing in their curriculum to promote deep learning.

SLAM becomes a department: a Q-and-A with new chair Melissa Chase
Work started last week to prepare Laws Hall for the new department of sport leadership & management (SLAM). SLAM is now the third largest department in the College of Education, Health and Society, serving over 700 majors and minors.
