Periods Rock!
Periods Rock!, a student informed and co-lead initiative within SESC, has stocked all of the restrooms in McGuffey and Phillips with feminine hygiene products, condoms, lube, and literature are in the women's and all-gender bathrooms and the same, minus feminine hygiene products, are in men's bathrooms.

Dr. Yingbin Hu is granted patent
The patent, titled Nano/micro scale porous structured alloys using selective alloying process based on elemental powders, took approximately four years to complete. He began the process while he was earning his master's degree at The University of Texas System.

Symphony Orchestra, Averbach named semifinalists in national competition
Miami University Symphony Orchestra and their conductor, Ricardo Averbach, have been named semifinalists for the 2019-2020 American Prize National Nonprofit Competitions in the Performing Arts.

Latest award spotlights unique relationship between the two Miamis
Myaamia Center staff traveled to Miami, Oklahoma, recently to take part in the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma's Winter Gathering activities. Here tribal citizens participate in the stomp dance.The 6-year graduation rate for Miami tribe students is 89.4 percent, compared to the national average of 41 percent for Native Americans in 2017.

Freedom Summer 55 Conference
This conference, exploring the local history of Freedom Summer in 1964, and also current lessons and ideas to continue to address voting rights and social inequalities, was held in November 2019 at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in downtown Cincinnati
