Myaamia students, who attend Miami University, play the Moccasin Game at the 2019 Miami Tribe of Oklahoma’s annual Winter Gathering in Miami, Oklahoma.It’s been 24 years now since Miami University became the Miami RedHawks, but it’s been almost 50 years since the beginning of a new relationship between the university and the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma.

$1 million fund to advance diversity, equity and inclusion development efforts
A new $1 million fund at Miami University will be used to fund competitive grants to develop inclusive projects.President Gregory Crawford today announced a new $1 million fund to support, diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at Miami University, with possible applications for wider society.

HCWE co-hosts "Engaging Students for Deep Learning Online" workshop
This summer the Howe Center for Writing Excellence (HCWE) has partnered with the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) and eLearning to help the Miami community make a purposeful, pedagogically-driven transition to remote instruction. We want to help faculty achieve the principles that guide their teaching in online classrooms for Fall 2020. Our first joint series, Engaging Students for Deep Learning Online, happened over two parts in July.
