Miamians help local landowner in the fight against emerald ash borer
The parasitic wasp Tetrastichus planipennisi is one of three species released to attack the emerald ash borer. Miamians were involved in recent releases on the property of a local landowner.Miamians are helping with a program that hopes to greatly reduce the number of emerald ash borer beetles, which have killed hundreds of millions of ash trees in North America since its detection in 2002.

Miami's Scripps researchers find no link between nursing home residents with COVID-19 and facility quality
Bowblis summarized, "These findings show that there is no difference in the probability of having a high caseload of residents with COVID-19 based on the facility quality star rating. "

Senate News, June 22, 2020
University Senate met on June 22, 2020, via WebEx. Senate heard a special report from the Fiscal Priorities and Budget Planning Committee regarding the approved FY 21 budget and their work so far this summer. Robin Parker (General Counsel) and Kenya Ash (OEEO) briefed Senate regarding the changes to Title IX.
