Study abroad scholarships fund exceeds #MoveInMiami goal
2019 was Global Initiatives’ third year participating in the festivities with a goal of 50 donations for the study abroad scholarships fund. Thanks to our generous donors, we exceeded the goal with 58 donations.

Tech Fee call for proposals now open
it is now time to begin creating your proposals for the next round of the Student Technology Fee Competitive Proposal Process (Tech Fee). Proposals are being accepted now through September 23, 2019.

8-22-19 Weekly Three
Provost Osborne's opening communication/weekly three included a welcome to the start of the year, information about strategic priorities and encouragement to read the Strategic Plan presented to Miami's Board in June, info about Convocation and book discussions, several "good news" items from the summer and calendar information re: first Faculty Assembly meeting of academic year and the date of the President's annual address.

Federal grant gives students insight into income and health inequity worldwide
Miami University — in partnership with Christ University in Bengaluru, India — has received a one-year $99,846 grant. The grant is through the U.S. Department of State's Partnership 2020 educational initiative in collaboration with University of Nebraska Omaha.

EWB travels to Rwanda to continue their sanitation efforts
From the end of July to the beginning of August students in Engineers Without Borders (EWB) traveled to Munini, Rwanda to continue their work with sanitation efforts.
