University Provost announces TCPL faculty promotions at CAS
Congratulations to our CAS Teaching/Clinical Professors and Lecturers (TCPL), recently promoted effective July 1, 2021. Their promotions were supported and approved by Dean Chris Makaroff and their department chairs. They were then sent to the Provost, Jason Osborne, for final approval.

Miami students celebrate diversity with Horizon, Lavender ceremonies
Graduating senior Alexandra Hernandez can’t wait to start the next phase of her life after she earns a bachelor’s degree from Miami University this weekend.   “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and being active in campus organizations played a large part in finding my place at Miami,” she said.

Tom Crist and James Kiper awarded Miami University's Benjamin Harrison Medallion
Tom Crist, professor and chair of biology, and James Kiper, professor of computer science and software engineering, have been honored with the 2021 Benjamin Harrison Medallion. Named for America’s 23rd president who graduated from Miami in 1852, the medallion is Miami University’s most prestigious career faculty honor and recognizes "contribution to the education of the nation."
