This summer, W. E. Smith Professor of History Steven Conn was invited as a Miami Faculty Fellow to the renowned Chautauqua Institution in southwestern New York state. There he gave a lecture following the theme of "Ethics of Dissent"

Nick Schmiesing places in Student Paper Competition
Nick Schmiesing, a mechanical engineering graduate student, took 3rd place in the Student Paper Competition during the 17th International Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Conference at Purdue University.
