What Did the Nursing Home Satisfaction Survey Tell Us?

A Dayton Daily News article discusses the results of a state-wide nursing home satisfaction survey. Over 50,000 seniors reported on their satisfaction with the nursing homes in which they reside. For the Dayton area the results were very promising with more than half of its assisted-living facilities receiving above average scores. Dayton Daily News called on Scripps Staff member, Karl Chow to explain the importance of this survey. "The need for services like nursing homes and assisted care is going to go up," said Chow. "Along with the needs for those services is going to be a need for a way to evaluate facilities. That's where the value of these surveys comes in."
