Collaborations

Stephanie Dulawa, PhD – University of Chicago Dept. of Psychiatry

We are collaborating with Dr Delawa’s lab to develop new medications for the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Anorexia. This work has resulted in two recent manuscripts:

Subhash Pandey, PhD – University of Illinois at Chicago Dept. of Psychiatry

We are collaborating with Dr Pandey’s lab to determine how adolescence alcohol consumption alters gene expression throughout the brain; hopefully identifying new mechanisms for alcohol’s effects in developing individuals, providing novel targets for therapeutic intervention. This collaboration is young, and thus has yet to result in published manuscripts.

Rose Mary Ward, PhD – Miami University Dept. of Kinesiology and Health

We are collaborating with Dr Ward’s lab to study the neural consequences of extremely high levels of voluntary alcohol consumption (such as black-out drinking) in adolescence, and to determine how social relationships may be impacted by such activity. This collaboration is also young, and thus has yet to result in published manuscripts.

Jennifer Quinn, PhD - Miami University Dept. of Psychology

Dr Quinn and I are collaborating to characterize to structural organization and functional role of a sub-region of the prefrontal cortex, called the orbitofrontal cortex. This region is known to play a role in learning and memory (Dr Quinn's focus) as well as impulsivity (my focus), thus we both have a vested interest in understanding its connectivity and function. This collaboration is young, and thus has yet to result in published manuscripts.
