Call for Abstracts - 2016 Architecture Graduate Symposium
Identity? A Graduate Symposium in Architectural approaches for the Designer of the 21st century
The Miami University Architecture + Interior Design Department, Oxford, Ohio, is pleased to issue a Call for Abstracts for the annual graduate symposium, to be held September 26-28, 2016. This year's symposium will explore Identity, which can be described as the condition of being oneself or itself, and not another. Identity can be experienced culturally, through a nationality, a place, or as an individual. As architects, planners, designers, architectural historians, and those in the business design and branding fields, how do we consider the challenges of 21st century Identity and contemporary design of space and place? How can architectural processes, research and projects question our understanding of what it means to have an Identity. More information about the conference.
Authors should prepare 250 word abstracts, with up to four supporting keywords for blind peer review. Deadline for submissions is June 17, 2016.
