Music Alum named Executive Director for Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra

Lindsey Bird Reynolds photoMiami University alum Lindsey Bird Reynolds '02, has been named as the new Executive Director for the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra in Wyoming. Reynolds graduated from Miami with a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and studied oboe with Professor Andrea Ridilla as an undergraduate student.

Reynolds received the Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance from Yale University School of Music and completed the Doctor of Musical Arts in Oboe Performance from the University of Northern Colorado.

Dr. Lindsey Bird Reynolds is an avid teacher and performer throughout Wyoming and the Front Range of Colorado. She is the Oboe Instructor at the University of Wyoming and the 2nd Oboe and English horn of the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra. Lindsey has performed as principal oboe with the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Collins Symphony, and the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, as well as substitute oboe and English horn with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, she has served as solo oboe and English horn for the Opera in the Ozarks, as well as section oboe for the American Wind Symphony Orchestra.
