Miami Marching Band performs at St. Petersburg Bowl

MUMB in St. PetersburgTwo twenty-hour bus rides bookended a whirlwind trip by the Miami University Marching Band down to Florida for the St. Petersburg Bowl against Mississippi State on Monday, December 26, providing a dramatic exclamation point to what was a historic season for Miami football.

After a dismal 0-6 start to the season, the RedHawks began winning and kept winning to finish the year 6-6 and become bowl eligible setting an NCAA record along the way as the only team in history to achieve that record in such fashion.

Stephen Lytle, director of the Miami University Marching Band stated, "while in Florida the band managed to find time to enjoy themselves a little on the beach between three separate performances and the game. The outcome was not we'd hoped for but the trip made for some terrific memories for the students and we can't wait for next season to begin!"
