Miami Art Professor named NEH Summer Scholar

Dr. Annie Dell'AriaDr. Annie Dell'Aria Dr. Annie Dell’Aria, Miami University assistant professor of art history, has been accepted into the NEH Summer Institute on Space, Place and the Humanities at Northeastern University. This is an interdisciplinary program that features scholars from all over the country. Dell’Aria will be in Boston, MA from July 24-August 11 for the program.

Dell’Aria received her bachelor’s in the history of art and architecture from Harvard University and her PhD in art history from The Graduate Center of The City University of New York. Her research and teaching interests are interdisciplinary, bridging contemporary art and media studies. She has published multiple journal articles and book chapters, and is currently working on a book project that charts a typology of screen spectatorship in public space and argues for the effectiveness of media-based public art in engaging diverse audiences.
