Society of Women Engineers (SWE) to attend national conference

SWE Preview From Nov. 7-9, five members of Miami’s chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) will be attending the SWE national conference located in Anaheim, CA.

The three-day conference is one of the largest of its kind. From university students to trained professionals currently employed in the field, SWE is open to all women in engineering and technology.

During the conference, the attendees will have the opportunity to hear from numerous female keynote speakers, engage in workshops and even take part in a built-in, two-day career fair.

During the three full days of programming, attendees have the option to attend one of five different tracks: Career Management, Inclusion and Cultural Awareness, Innovation and Disruption, Self-Management and Development, or Strategic Leadership.

Some of the world’s leading companies will be present as exhibitors at the conference, including Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, and Apple, to name a few.

Centered around student success, SWE also offers an onsite career resources center where attendees can do things like check their emails, update resumes and do some research on the career fair exhibitors to be sure they’re getting the most out of their experience.

Additional information on the conference schedule can be found on the SWE website.
