ECE graduate degree undergoes title change
May 29, 2020
The graduate program degree within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) was recently approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) to change its title.
The new name, “Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering,” has taken the place of “Master of Science in Computational Electrical and Computer Engineering.” This alteration has come after several years of graduate-level course development and additions.
Dr. Chi-Hao Cheng, the graduate program director, says this revised program offers more flexibility and encourages students to engage in interdisciplinary research.
“Many of our students have been working on projects related with but also beyond computation,” Dr. Cheng said. “So, the name change [reflects the] wide variety of research projects our students are pursuing.”
