Social Work Student Walks to Stop Executions

Maggie shared with us about this life changing experience, “I was the youngest participant and took every step of the 83 miles. I also had the opportunity to speak at the rally to the 100 or so persons who came to hear our experience and support the abolition of the death penalty… The walk was a learning experience that helped me grow as a person. I learned more about the death penalty from an insider’s perspective, was taught by long time abolitionists, and learned a lot about myself.” Maggie’s interest in this area stemmed from her field experience working with the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center. Now that’s what we call a great learning experience! Thank you for leading the way Maggie.
