Deb Vangellow '88 named LPGA Top 50 Best Teacher

D. VangellowTeaching doesn't only happen in the classroom. One Miami alum, Deb Vangellow '88 has found a way to combine her passion for golf with teaching. She has excelled so much that she was recognized by Women's Golf Journal as one of the LPGA Top 50 Best Teachers out of more than 1,700 LPGA certified professionals worldwide. Women's Golf Journal is an American national magazine dedicated to celebrating the lifestyle of golfing women everywhere.

Vangellow is the Teaching Professional at Riverbend Country Club in Houston, Texas.  She adds this recognition to an already impressive list including 2012 LPGA National Teacher Of The Year, LPGA and Golf Digest Woman “Top 50” Teacher, Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine “Top Regional Teacher”, US KIDS GOLF “Top 50 Kids Teacher”, and GRAA “Top Growth Of The Game Professional”.

Deb serves as the National President of the LPGA Teaching And Club Professionals and is a longtime lead instructor in the LPGA Global Education Program. She is an educator and coach who offers wellness based developmental programming integrated into her “student centered” philosophy. "I am honored to be part of this elite group of golf professionals and thank the LPGA and Women’s Golf Journal for creating this award," said Vangellow.
