Additional Hockey Training

The Goggin Ice Center offers several additional training opportunities for hockey players looking to further develop their skills.

Freestyle Hockey

Dates: Thursdays from 5:25 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sessions offered August 31 - April 26. No sessions on November 23 and December 28.

Cost: $9.50 per session

Freestyle Hockey sessions are open to hockey players of all levels to practice their individual skating and stick handling skills.

  • Rental equipment is available
  • Private lesson instruction is available during these sessions.

NOTE: this is not a drop-in game session.


Pre-Season Hockey

Dates: Mondays and Wednesdays
Squirts & Pee Wees: 6:15 p.m.–7:15 p.m. | Bantam/High School: 7:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m.
Starting Monday, August 14, 2017 and ending Wednesday August 30, 2017

Cost: $95.00 (6 sessions)

Target Ages: 8 years old through High School

This camp is intended to prepare players for the upcoming hockey season. Squirt/PeeWee and Bantam/High School players will skate together, and each group will be given specific drills appropriate for each level.

Tryout Training Camp

Dates: Squirt (U10) / Pee Wee (U12) | Wednesdays, March 28–April 25, 2018; 6:15–7:15 p.m.

            Bantam (U14) / High School (Varsity and JV) | Thursdays, March 29–April 26, 2018; 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Target Ages: 8 years old through High School

This camp is intended to provide post-season training for players preparing for their upcoming season. Generally held in April each year, all players skate together but each level is given specific drills appropriate for each level. Players will be grouped based upon their age for the upcoming season.

Practice Curriculum

  • Power skating
  • Stick handling
  • Puck control
  • Passing/shooting
  • Small area games

*Spaces are limited to 40 skaters in each age bracket.
