Earn intervention specialist licensure in a year or a master's degree in fewer than two years. The Special Education online program is structured to quickly and efficiently license intervention specialists. Learn from faculty with an exceptionally strong commitment to teaching and extensive special education practitioner experience.
With four curriculum tracks, there are options for both educators who are currently licensed and for students who do not currently hold a teaching license in any area. Work towards your initial teaching license in mild/moderate special education or build upon your pre-existing knowledge with advanced coursework.
Gain the skills and knowledge you need to design instruction and advocate for students with mild/moderate disabilities in inclusive educational settings, and to become a leader in the field of special education.
Earn special education licensure and your M.Ed. in Special Education within 18 months. Initial licensure can be completed within in two years.

Applicants seeking their first teaching license must apply for the master’s degree program. Coursework will include the courses necessary to earn an intervention specialist's license. Applicants who have teaching licenses in a field other than special education may choose to apply for the master's degree or the licensure-only option.
