Jaree Naqvi
Jaree Naqvi of West Chester (Lakota Local Schools) began his higher education journey at Miami University Regionals before relocating to Miami’s main campus in Oxford to complete his Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2016. Jaree was a student leader at Miami Regionals from day one, actively participating in a variety of leadership roles supporting student organizations and activities that were meaningful to him and important societally.
He maintained his involvement and close ties to Regionals faculty, staff and students even as an Oxford-based student, and continues to do so as a distinguished Miami alumnus.
Jaree co-founded Project Civility at Miami’s Hamilton campus, a program that quickly expanded to the Middletown campus and was embraced by neighboring communities and school districts. For his Project Civility efforts, Jaree received commendation from the Mayor of Hamilton, Ohio, and kudos from area K-12 administrators who adopted the program and amended it to their districts.
Jaree served as president of the Miami Hamilton Student Government Association, and he thoroughly enjoyed working as an Orientation Leader providing campus tours for incoming students. He also played intramural soccer.
Jaree was accepted into Wright State University’s School of Medicine as a Miami senior. As a medical student, he started his own not-for-profit, Civility International. He will be graduating medical school while simultaneously earning an MBA and a Master of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology.
Jaree is working diligently toward a career as a dermatologist.
