Professional Experience
Emily joined Miami University in 2021 as adjunct faculty and became an Assistant Clinical Lecturer in 2022. She has worked with the adult population, but her background is mainly in pediatrics and neonatal, including;
- Intermediate Step-Down Unit at Fort Hamilton Hospital
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital
- Home Health Care at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center

Service
Emily serves as the faculty advisor to the Miami University Nursing Student Association and serves as a Governance Committee Member for the Omicron Chi chapter of Sigma Nursing Honors Society since 2023. She has worked as a lead on nursing recruitment efforts. She started the first Senior Recognition and Pinning Ceremony for graduating seniors in 2023. She serves on the Admission, Progression, and Graduation Committee and is working on a student success project looking over data from previous graduating years, as well as current students. She will be taking a group of students to Belize during winter term in January 2024, to work with the surrounding communities.
