The Mystique of the Everyday in Afro-Cuban Art

This talk will focus on the role of Afro-Cuban art at different historical moments in Cuban society, where Afro-Cuban contributions have played a major role in Cuba, at the same time the Afro-Cuban population has remained marginalized from major economic, social, and political changes taking place in the island.
