Senate News, February 22, 2021
Senators continued discussion on the Consensual Amorous Relationships Policy. Dr. Shelly Jarrett Bromberg and Dr. Leighton Peterson presented the proposed Miami Plan requirements. ASG Senator Wes Payne presented a Sense of the Senate resolution to investigate the use of proctoring software. Dean Michael Crowder presented two proposals from the Graduate School: Graduate Student Research Fellowship and Sunsetting Dormant Graduate Degree Programs.

Cozy Chicken Chili Workshop
Miami Nutrition Students involved in The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics made 50 chili making kits and distributed 20 to Miami Students and the rest to community members.

2021 University Faculty Scholar Award Winner
Dr. Rose Marie Ward has been selected by the University Senate's Committee on Faculty Research to receive a 2021 University Faculty Scholar Award.

Dr. Paul Branscum (KNH) receives Society of Behavioral Medicine Fellow Status
Fellow status is conferred on full members in recognition of outstanding contributions to the advancement of the science and practice of behavioral medicine.

Senate News, February 8, 2021
Senators approved several consent calendar items and heard a presentation from Senator Liz Wardle regarding the amorous relationships policy. Two new majors/degrees were approved: Hospitality Management (B.S. Commerce) and M.S. Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health. A resolution to add a staff member to Senate Executive Committee was also approved. The resolutions are below.
