Dean's Advisory Board Launching Soon
The office of the dean of students is seeking applications for a newly-formed dean's advisory board. The board, nicknamed DAB, will allow student leaders to influence positive change on campus, celebrate student accomplishments, and help the office of the dean of students set priorities and create initiatives.

Dr. J. Andrew Jones, Ph.D, assistant professor in the Department of Chemical, Paper and Biomedical Engineering, has been published in the Metabolic Engineering journal for his latest work in the production of the psychoactive compound psilocybin through engineered bacteria.

Distinguished Educator Award winner Lynette Hudiburgh cautions how statistics in the media can be misleading
Lynette Hudiburgh, a prestigious Miami statistics lecturer, is the recipient of the Distinguished Educator Award from the College of Arts and Science. She gave her lecture, "Statistics: Confused, Misused, and Abused, or How to Avoid Being Swept Away in the Data Deluge" on Tuesday, September 17 in front of a full Upham Hall classroom

Students win AlChE competition and are recognized on AlChE website
Back in January, the AlChE and EWB organizations in CEC worked together to take first place in the AIChE Chemical Engineering for Good Challenge.
