Campus Tour Guide Information

Miami University tour guides are responsible for welcoming thousands of prospective students and their families to campus each year. They are involved and dedicated members of the Miami community who bring campus to life through storytelling and sharing their unique experiences that best reflect what life is like at Miami.

Benefits of Being a Miami University Tour Guide

Working as a Miami University tour guide will provide you with experiences that will benefit you professionally. In addition to learning strong leadership skills, you can expect to:

  • Network with Miami University professional staff and prospective students’ parents including those who have high level professional connections.
  • Create relationships with fellow Miami students.
  • Develop strong public speaking skills.

Tour Guide Requirements

  • Must be a full-time Undergraduate Oxford campus student.
  • All ages and class years considered.
  • Tour guides receive full, paid training.
  • Must be available in the Fall and Spring Semesters to work between 3 and 15 hours per week. If interested in working for the Summer Semester, you must be available to work between 6 and 30 hours per week. There will be potential for full time positions (30-40 hours per week).
  • If interested in working for Summer Semester, you must have your own housing and parking. These are not provided by the Office of Admission.
