Farmer School alumna Kathy Bintz has gifted $100,000 to the Farmer School to establish the Kathy Bintz Fund for Women in Entrepreneurship. Kathy is the CEO and a principal of Creative Retail Packaging, a company specializing in branding, design, production, and distribution of creative packaging programs for many of the top brands in the world.

Kathy graduated in ’78 with a dual major of marketing and retail and later returned here to teach “How to Present Yourself and Your Ideas,” a sprint course offered by the Center for Entrepreneurship. Most recently, Kathy participated in the first Advancing Women in Entrepreneurship “Design Your Life” winter term course in January. The program took students across the country to connect with dozens of female founders and corporate leaders, focusing on understanding the internal and external barriers those women face.

Kathy said of her decision, “I am happy to support this important initiative. The Women in Entrepreneurship Program provides the necessary education and support women need to launch successful businesses. The program will amplify Miami’s long standing track record of developing results driven female executives and leaders.”

Tim Holcomb, Director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship, noted, “Kathy previously taught sprint courses in How to Present Yourself and Your Ideas for the Institute for Entrepreneurship in the late 2000s. Her gift will enable the Institute to expand and strengthen curricular and co-curricular programs for female undergraduate student-founders in support of our Advancing Women in Entrepreneurship program and is just one of the many ways Kathy has given back to Miami University.”
