Speaker announced for spring Divisional Recognition Ceremony

The Farmer School is pleased to announce Christopher (Chris) M. Gorman, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of KeyCorp as its 2022 Divisional Recognition Ceremony keynote speaker. The event will take place Sunday, May 15 at 2:00 p.m. in Miami University’s Millett Assembly Hall.

Farmer School Dean and Mitchell P. Rales Chair in Business Leadership, Jenny Darroch, commented, “We are delighted that Chris would agree to set the tone for our graduating students. He has been a part of their Farmer School experience in so many different ways, from speaking in classes, to mentoring students, to serving as a client, to providing insight and strategy to help the school excel. He has given so generously of his time and knowledge.”

As KeyCorp’s Chairman, CEO and President, Chris leads a team responsible for $187 billion in assets, 17,000 employees, 3.5 million clients, and an award-winning culture of diversity, inclusion, and transformative philanthropy. Prior to assuming his current role, Chris served as President and Chief Operating Officer of KeyCorp, and was named Chairman and CEO of KeyBank, N.A. in 2012.

Chris serves on the Board of Directors of The Bank Policy Institute and is member of the BITS Committee, technology policy division of the Bank Policy Institute. He is a member of the Farmer School Board of Visitors, the Supervisory Board of The Clearing House and serves as a board member of University Hospital Health System, Catholic Community Foundation of Cleveland and the Cleveland Museum of Art.

He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Miami University in 1983.
