8 Student Teams Reflect on the Institute for Food

Junior architecture major Marlyka Williams receives LAURE Award
Marlyka (Lyka) Williams, a junior architecture major, presented a project titled “Dare to be a Wildflower: Looking to the Natural World for Answers Through an In Depth Study of Heliostat Technology,” based on her research in Architecture 406, taught by Mary Ben Bonham.

Craig Hinrichs honored for work with students in career development
Director of Graduate Studies, Craig Hinrichs, was one of 11 faculty members recognized with the Excellence in Career Development Award. The award recognizes faculty who actively support the development of the Miami University career community, forge career-related partnerships and provide exemplary direct delivery of career development services to undergraduate students.

Interior design students chosen to participate in international design charette
The fifth Annual International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Student Design Charette takes place during NeoCon in Chicago, Tuesday, June 14th. This year, two Miami University interior design students were selected to participate: senior Lila Wengler and junior Alana Carson.  Only 50 spaces are available for interior design students nationwide.

Interior Design Program Re-Accredited
The interior design program leading to the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree meets Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) Professional Standards and has been awarded accreditation for a term of six years, effective April 2016.
