I’m the Director of the Student Success Center, a new office at Miami University that launched in fall of 2015! As the Director, I am responsible for designing and implementing the new office, collaborating with campus partners within EMSS and throughout the University to develop the infrastructure for the office, and hiring and training the Student Success Center staff.

Prior to my position in the Student Success Center, I served as the Assistant Director for the Individualized Studies: Western Program from 2008-2014. I was the Chief Divisional Advisor/Interim Assistant Dean for the School of Interdisciplinary Studies: Western College Program from 2004-2008. I worked at the Miami University Middletown campus for fourteen years in the Career/Co-op/Internship Services office as well.

Prior to my positions at Miami University, I was the Assistant Dean for Career and Leadership Development at the University of LaVerne (Southern California), the Assistant Director of Student Activities at Boston College (Boston, MA), and Assistant to the Dean/Residence Hall Director at Gordon College (Wenham, MA).

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Wheaton College, Wheaton IL in 1979 and a Master of Science degree in College Student Personnel and Counseling from Miami University in 1981.
