- Vice Chairman International Affairs, Business Development Egyptian Stock Exchange, Cairo, Egypt 2010 – 2022
- Assisted the Egyptian cabinet with strategic planning and financial analysis to invigorate the country’s financial markets post 2011 Egyptian uprising.
- Serve as a key organization spokesperson to the financial community by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with domestic and global media, analysts and investors, specifically during the Egyptian uprising in 2011. (Arab Spring)
- Work with multinational investors to develop acquisition or corporate sales to stimulate Egypt’s foreign reserves that were shrinking during the revolution in 2011.
- Identified business development opportunities and led efforts to win mandates.
- Maintain a comprehensive targeting dashboard to track current and prospective investor interest, activity, engagement, and conversion. • Work closely with internal executives, external partners, and key investors to develop a financial forecast for the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
- Competitive analysis to track and summarize market intelligence and competitive information, and events related to global industries.
- Designed and trained Stock Exchange Brokers workshops for 600 Iraqi and Kurdistani brokers as per the Egyptian prime minister request to support the middle east economies and attract global investors.
- Established Damascus and the Libyan stock exchange and trained 500 senior market makers as part of Egyptian and Middle East financial collaborations.
- Creating global investment opportunities in the Arab region to enhance public and private investments to translate to higher growth and global employment in the Arab region.
- Oversees the organization’s foreign currency market position.
- Member of the advisory board for local and international corporations on foreign markets and currency fluctuations.
- Nominated the chairman for the Arab Stock Exchanges Union.
- Lead lecturer in the annual meeting of the Arabs Stock Exchanges.
- Lead Negotiator representing the stock exchange with domestic and foreign investors.
- Lead Negotiator with angry Mobs that were surrounding the Egyptian stock exchange during the Egyptian uprising in 2011 (Arab Spring) that prevented further destruction and bloodshed between military and angry nation.

Biography
Mohamed Ahmed Farrag, Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, is a performance-driven, team-building and leading, lead negotiator, lead lecturer in Investment, stock trading, strategy and leadership, offering outstanding organizational analytical communications and interpersonal and cross-cultural team management skills. He is a high-energy, results-oriented leader with an entrepreneurial attitude, passionate about resolving issues and conflicts. Dr. Farrag has advised over 5000 clients across various industries regarding strategic, financial, M&A, and capital raise situations during his 39-year career in investment banking, stock markets, and brokerage companies in London, Cairo, Damascus, Beirut, Tripoli, Casablanca,Kuwait, Doha, and Dubai. He has closed 1000 domestic and international corporate sales and deals for the stock market. Dr. Farrag established two major departments in the Egyptian stock market, established the Arab stock exchange as a project manager, then as managing director and CEO for the Arab stock exchanges. He established the Damascus Securities Exchange and advised the establishment of the Libyan and Iraqi stock exchanges, and was nominated president of the Arab Stock Exchanges Union in 2013. Dr. Farrag received an MBA from Durham University-England and a DBA from Case Western Reserve University-USA.
