Biography
Since 2008, Pete Jack has been a faculty member in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University, teaching the senior marketing capstone practicum, Strategy Works. In 2014, Pete was appointed coordinator of the program, responsible for securing client companies and coordinating all client, classroom and teaching faculty activities. The Strategy Works program generates grant/departmental funding on an annual basis. Pete held the coordinator position until 2020 when he left the University. He is back and teaching three sections of Strategy Works during the Fall 2021 semester.
Prior to his role at Miami University, Pete was employed by the H.J. Heinz Company for 30 years. During his tenure at Heinz, he was promoted into several senior executive level positions, retiring in 2007 as Managing Director of Portion Pac, Inc., a $420M wholly owned subsidiary. Pete brings to the classroom an extensive business background, touching on all functional areas, which aids his students as they develop comprehensive business plans for the client companies.
Pete holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a BS from Bowling Green State University.
