Biography

Jim Johnson is an Entrepreneurship Business Core Instructor. During his career in advertising, he has held Creative Director positions at major agencies in New York and Europe. These include Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey Worldwide, and Wells, Rich, Greene. With an expertise in the development and marketing of new products, he has created campaigns for major corporations such as Procter & Gamble, Abbott Nutrition, General Mills, Novo Nordisk, and McGraw-Hill Education. In the process, he created, supervised, and coordinated advertising that ran in over 30 countries. He also served as Creative Director for McGraw-Hill Education'™s marketing department and promoted digital learning platforms for future generations.

As an educator, Johnson has created and taught courses for Columbus College of Art & Design, Western Michigan, and West Virginia University Reed College of Media. At CCAD, he was Creative Director for their MindMarket initiative, which connected students with real client design challenges. He has led marketing workshops at Innovate New Albany and The Idea Foundry in Columbus, Ohio. His work has garnered multiple creative and brand building awards including the P&G Global Brand Building award, AICP Gold, Gold Effie, Clio, and Mobius. His commercials are part of the permanent collection at MOMA and have appeared on the AdAge Top Ten Ads of the Year list.
