Biography
Carla Nietfeld received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Kentucky in 2017 and is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics in the Farmer School of Business at Miami University. Prior to joining the Miami University Department of Economics, Carla was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Francis Marion University located in South Carolina. Carla is an applied microeconomist with research interests focusing on economics education, public economics, and the economics of education. Her recent research includes studying various ways to increase student engagement and retention in the college classroom using technology.
