Police Records Supervisor | City of Hamilton

Legal Notice of Civil Service

To establish an eligibility list for the classification of POLICE RECORDS SUPERVISOR, an open, non-competitive Civil Service recruitment effort is underway. This is difficult administrative, clerical and technical supervisory work involving the management of the record-keeping activities of the City’s Police Department. The work is performed under the general direction and supervision of the Administrative Captain and Police Chief.

The Police Records Supervisor serves as the administrator for the computerized records management system (Tritech) and is responsible for security settings, data management, and other administrative duties. As the administrator of the software system, the supervisor is responsible for training records clerks on the system and conducting ongoing and remedial training for officers. The supervisor manages a staff of four records clerks, makes work assignments, and ensures online availability of accident reports. In the absence of the Police Chief’s secretary, the supervisor serves in a relief capacity, which involves payroll processing and other administrative tasks.

Selected candidates whose background and work history demonstrate the strongest credentials in relation to position duties will then be invited for an oral interview. Each application or resume should contain sufficient detail regarding work history and relevant background so that a meaningful initial evaluation may be accomplished. Submit current detailed resume by 5:00 PM on Friday, 1/20/2017 in Word or PDF to the Civil Service Dept. by email: cspersonnel@hamilton-oh.gov OR fax: (513) 785-7037. If necessary, application may be made in person or via USPS. Specify interest in POL REC SUPVR.
