Professional Experience

Karen started at Miami University in fall of 2013 as the Clinical Placement Coordinator for all nursing students for both the Middletown and Hamilton Campus Nursing Departments. Prior to coming to Miami she worked at Xavier University as an adjunct Medical Surgical Clinical Instructor and has worked in five hospitals in Indiana, Colorado and Ohio. Karen was a poster presenter at the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses Annual Conference in Boston 2011 and is a current member of Sigma Theta Tau. Karen is involved in the Admission, Progression and Graduation Committee and Clinical Performance Evaluation Tool Committee at Miami. She is current in practice as a float nurse at Fort Hamilton Hospital of the Kettering Health Network and holds certifications in ACLS, Wound Vac, and Crisis Intervention Team at Fort Hamilton.
