RN-BSN Admission

Thank you for your interest in the RN-BSN completion program for registered nurses. Applicants to the RN-BSN program must have completed the following minimum criteria:

  1. Ohio Registered Nurse license (or RN in state in which will do clinicals) without restrictions
  2. Cumulative GPA or 2.0 or higher
  3. ENG 111 College Composition
  4. MBI 161 Elementary Medical Microbiology
  5. Miami Plan Foundation IIC social science requirement, e.g. PSY 111, Introduction to Psychology
  6. Associate degree nursing courses * (28 credits)

* Additional nursing credit hours transferred in count as elective hours.  Graduates of non-accredited ADN and Diploma programs will receive the 28 credit hours after successfully passing NSG 301, 311 and 313.

All students desiring to enter the RN-BSN program must:

  • Complete an application with the regional Office of Admission and be accepted to Miami University.
  • Submit a completed RN-BSN application to the Department of Nursing; applications are accepted year-round to the RN-BSN program.
