Events Honoring Veterans Scheduled at Miami Regionals

Students at Miami University Regionals will gather to remember and honor those who have served in the armed forces and offer support to those who are currently serving.

Miami Regionals' Center for Veterans Services will be hosting a Veterans Day Celebration Dinner on Thursday, November 10 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center on the Hamilton campus. The evening will include dinner, a silent auction, and a raffle. Single tickets are $10 and a table sponsorship is $125. Veterans and children age 5 and under are admitted for free. All proceeds from this event benefit Gold Star Families and Miami Regionals’ Student Veterans Association. RSVP at

Miami's Voice of America Learning Center, jointly with the Caring Community Collaborative, will host a Veterans' Tribute and Resource Fair on Friday, November 11 from 10 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. An information fair will highlight area resources from 10 -11:30 a.m. followed by a program which will feature speaker Tom Lunney, United States Air Force Lt Colonel (Ret.), the founder of American Small Business Centers. Patriotic music will be provided by the Lakota West High School Choir. A light lunch will be provided. RSVP at or by calling (513)939-9255.
