Miami’s Office of Strategic Procurement partners with Versatex
Versatex will start by supporting interpreting services, moving services, and temporary staffing, which were previously handled across multiple suppliers
Miami University's Office of Strategic Procurement has a new partnership with Versatex, a managed services provider who will provide price parity and transparency of cost, timeliness, and quality in several key areas for Miami departments.
Versatex, established in 2009, operates under its parent company, d.e. Foxx & Associates. Headquartered in downtown Cincinnati, the Foxx group of companies was established in 1983, is minority-owned and employs more than 1,800 people in eight states.
Versatex’s team members will initially start by supporting interpreting services, moving services, and temporary staffing, which were previously handled across multiple suppliers. The campus community should not see a large change, if any, in current service providers. Versatex will also assist the university in meeting its supplier diversity goals through this partnership.
Miami University supports the State of Ohio Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (EDGE) business development programs. The university has established goals for EDGE certified business participation for university contracts that include goods, services, construction, and professional design services. Similar goals are established for MBE.
Strategic Procurement’s supplier diversity goals are closely aligned with the university’s overall diversity and inclusion goals. These goals and successes are reviewed annually by the SVP – Finance and Business Services to ensure we are aligned and making a positive impact on the university.
As Strategic Procurement continues to finalize this partnership and bring services online, the university will be moving transactions over to Versatex in the coming quarter.
There will be a fully functioning catalog available for departments to use within Buyway. Once enabled, all purchases will need to be made through this catalog and the Versatex platform. Versatex will register current Miami suppliers in these key areas within the Versatex system.
Miami suppliers can contact Miami Strategic Procurement with any questions by emailing purchasing@miamioh.edu.
Departments will be invited to an upcoming training session provided by Versatex to learn about the catalog, how to order services, verify orders, and more. Strategic Procurement will participate in the training session.
Versatex will provide a dedicated client success manager to assist departments with questions or issues. Contact information for these Versatex contacts will be provided during this training session and available via the Versatex catalog from Buyway.
