New residency program will broaden religious understanding and make schools more welcoming for diverse students
This article from the Journal-News reports on a federal grant awarded to Miami University’s new residency program, which will allow 25 educators to take 2 weeks to learn about the experiences and histories of Muslim-Americans.
It’s the first time that project coordinators and Miami University professors Kathleen Knight-Abowitz, professor of Educational Leadership, and Elizabeth Wilson, professor of Comparative Religion, have received such a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
