Biography

Marcello Fantoni in a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Anthropology whose research is focused on martial cultures and identities. He conducted his PhD research in Ukraine and Russia, focusing on the impact of the 2022 Russian invasion on understandings of authenticity and performed identities within Cossack martial cultures and fighting units. His current work focuses on the revival of martial cultures in post-colonial settings.
