Jaclyn Wenhold

What I love about my majors: I love being able to write the truth and give insight in a creative way. Many people view journalists as someone who exposes secrets or situations swept under the rug, and in many ways that is true. Although, it is also about being a determined communicator between groups of people and shining a light on topics that should be publicly known or appreciated, and I love being able to practice that at school everyday.

A role I play outside the classroom:  I am a writer for The Miami Student Newspaper here on campus. Being in this organization has helped me gain communication and writing skills that allow me to see what being a journalist is really like.

My favorite place on campus:  My favorite place on campus is Central Quad because I love being outside, and the campus is so pretty and peaceful.

My dream job:  As of right now, I have a few dream jobs, but all in all, they all consist of writing.

A little-known fact about me: A fun fact about me is that I love reading and writing poetry!
