Amy Cockrell
Amy Cockrell joined Miami University as an advisor in 2012. She is responsible for advising international students and scholars, providing counsel regarding immigration, academic, cultural, or personal issues. She supports university retention efforts by working with international students identified as at-risk academically. She also specializes in managing InterLink, creating and updating student and scholar forms to promote accessibility and sharing of information. Amy earned her M.S. in Higher Education from Indiana University, and BA degrees in English Literature and Spanish from Hanover College. She enjoys travel and has visited Belgium, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, England, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, Japan and China, including Hong Kong and Taiwan. One fun fact is that Amy loves to road trip to visit national parks and every year makes a point to visit at least one-- ask her which one is her favorite!
